Top cycling routes to Haintal Viaduct

Tips

  • A very nice viaduct near Friedrichstal.
The 173 meter long and 32.5 meter high Haintalviadukt spans the same side valley of the Itter and is in its construction a miniature copy of the Himbächel viaduct on the same route. It consists of a total of nine arches with 15 meters of open space, which are grouped into three groups of three arches each. The pillars, which are 3 meters strong at the fighter, are strengthened to 5 meters between the three groups of arches. In total, about 8500 m³ of quarrystone were used here.
