A real pearl, flora and fauna are unique, e.g. you can find the blue-winged demoiselle here.
A tour is worthwhile and so is a swim. The latter, however, requires overcoming. The small reservoir is usually very cold.
Very nice hiking opportunities all around. Down at the end of town in the direction of Hesselbach, for example, the Nibelungensteig winds steeply up to Hesselbach. There are also circuits for cyclists and hikers up the Euterbach.
And if you have a barbecue and sausage with you, you can also do what you have to do at the hut, at the barbecue area. But just stretch your legs and enjoy the peace and quiet is also possible.

The Eutersee was built in 1971 as a water retention basin.
Thanks to two bridges, it is possible to walk around the lake completely.
At the northern end of the lake there is a barbecue hut and a barbecue area. A sunbathing area right next to it offers space for picnicking and relaxation, garbage cans are available.
Flowing through the Euterbach, the lake has a year-round cool temperature between 12 and 16 degrees Celsius, so not recommended for warm showers.
Furthermore, there is the opportunity for long hikes and bike tours in the idyllic local recreation area. The borders of the three federal states of Hesse, Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg meet in this district. The corresponding point is marked by the so-called "three-country stone".
At the outflow of the Euteree, in the Eutersee dam, there is a cascade fish ladder to make it easier for the fish to get from the Euterbach to the lake, or vice versa.
