One of the most beautiful climbs in the immediate vicinity of Freiburg. In Au turn off onto the small local road to Langackern. At the first hairpin bend, drive straight on to the small track that opens up a few yards up to Horben. Past the Ringlihof, it goes steeply, briefly even very steeply up to the Hanspeterhof, from where you can roll over to Horben at the same height. A sporty, muscular rise with magnificent views of the Schauinsland and down to Freiburg.

At the "Ringlihof climb" you drive up the so-called Katzental from Au (Hexental) to Horben. The climb is quite steep, it is also good as a short Feierabendrunde from the south of Freiburg in conjunction with the other increase of the Katzental up to Langackern (possibly as a round can be combined).
