Taking a dip in the loop is possible here, but you shouldn't expect a great lawn. But the view over the loop is simply wonderful.

Along this beautiful loop trail there are several swimming spots, this is the last one on the way. The nice thing is that obviously nobody here cares if you have the dog with you or not. Therefore, especially for dog people interesting and recommended for a little cooling on the trail.
