Just as worth seeing as the country doctor's practice is the Schlei bridge in Lindaunis, which dates back to 1927 and connects the Schwansen and Fishing regions. What is special about the bridge is that it can be used by road traffic, cyclists and pedestrians and the Schleswig-Holstein regional train, which runs hourly between Kiel and Flensburg.

The bridge opens every hour at "quarter to" to allow boat traffic to pass.

Hiking

The folding part has now been removed and there is now a temporary pedestrian bridge in its place. If you are traveling by train from Flensburg to Kiel, you get off at Lindaunis Nord, walk over the bridge, get back on the train at Lindaunis Süd and then continue to Kiel. In the opposite direction, the reverse procedure.
