Helfenstein Castle Ruins

Today the small castle tavern is located in the western observation tower. Vespers, drinks, coffee and cake are offered.

Opening hours:
March to December on weekends and bank holidays (when the flag is raised on the tower).

Very worth seeing ruin with a great view of Geislingen.

Great view over the 5 valley city. Opposite you can see the Ostland Cross and further back you can see the Y high-rise buildings, which mark the way to Überkingen. The lower Filstal with its places Kuchen, Gingen, Süßen, Salach, Eislingen and then Göppingen lies in front of you and you have a clear view of the Hohenstaufen. The Geislinger Steige to Amstetten starts on the left and the Weiler Steige meanders below you. Continue to the right into the Eybacher Tal and the Längental.
