Road cycling

The city tower is considered the landmark of Höchstadt. It is a preserved gate tower from the second of three city walls or fortification rings. Built in the 14th century, it consists of sandstone humpback blocks with pinholes and hems. The upper end is a baroque octagonal hood. On the north side there is an outside staircase, also made of sandstone blocks and provided with wrought iron grilles.
