Tauernpass

Technically, a lot is required here. In some passages you will probably not be able to avoid getting off your bike. However, the experience and the view are worth it.

Along the fascinatingly jagged rocks, it is mostly pushing through the Seekarscharte. Crossing an "alpine pass" is a real experience. With an e-bike it's a very strenuous shift, but you don't have to carry it here, the bike only has to be pulled or lifted over slightly higher "steps" 4 to 5 times. In spite of all the drag, the walk is worth it, a wonderful view, two small beautiful lakes and a great mountain panorama are the reward for the effort.

Difficult climb, but the panorama is worth it.

Longer sliding carrying passages

Very demanding, not easy.

Absolutely worth it. After a violent pushing and carrying passage you will be rewarded with a great panorama.

Super nice area at the Oberhütte. The crossing in the direction of Obertauern is very strenuous (with the e-bike).

For this passage I would have liked to have had a 10kg MTB and not a 25kg e-bike. By the way, it is not a small passage about 200 meters in altitude. The panorama, the nature, the impressions are simply fantastic.
But despite the effort you should take the time to enjoy the area.

Hello, everyone!Have any of you experienced the Tauern Pass road (B99) with a touring e-bike? to drive up? Would you also manage to drive the Katschberg? What motor/battery performance did you have? Think about driving mom Rhineland to beautiful Carinthia.

Unfortunately, a sliding / carrying passage (and not suitable for e-bikes!!!), but the view makes up for it all the more.
