Hiking

On the southeastern outskirts of Waren lies the approximately 3,100-meter-long and 600-meter-wide Feisnecksee. The lake is connected to Lake Müritz only by a narrow, shallow, non-navigable channel. This glacial channel lake, which is part of the Müritz National Park and surrounded by a belt of reeds, features a castle island roughly in its center. There is a swimming area in the northern part. Fishing is only permitted with a special permit. The area near the shore can be explored on an approximately 8.5-kilometer circular hike.
