Hiking Highlight
The Wienpietsch lakes are - absolutely idyllically situated - completely surrounded by forest and can only be reached by hiking trails. Geologically, the drainage-less bog lakes are remnants of a glacial meltwater channel. The larger (more southerly) of the two lakes can be circumnavigated - partly on boardwalks and footbridges.

The Wiesenpietschsee is located in the middle of Germany's largest national park. Many rare bird species have a home here! Now in late autumn, this place radiated a very special Ruhe.Es is very nice to circumnavigate the lake. After rain, but be careful because it can be very slippery !

The round trip is not spectacular. The two boggy pools with the (slightly) slippery dock system for it all the more. Especially beautiful place in the twilight!

Beautifully landscaped boardwalk meandering through the moor with vibrating turf. However, it can be slippery, so you should wear non-slip and waterproof footwear.

I left the track in November. Super toĺle tour. Two small lakes in the middle of the forest. Good well-kept paths. Good signage. Many benches along the way, two groups of seats. You can go through boggy areas over boardwalks. Much beech forest great autumn color. Covered lookout hut with a view of the Müritz. Relatively many people on the way.

The Moorsee is one of my highlights in Waren / Müritz. In summer you can also spend a wonderful day reading.
