The LMU is the historic University of Munich. Originally founded in Ingolstadt, its roots go back to the 15th century. A memorial inside and some tiles in front of the entrance remind us of the resistance of the White Rose.

Hiking

Some older buildings of the University of Munich are located between the Siegestor and the old town on Ludwigstrasse. The square here is called "Geschwister-Scholl-Platz" in the north and "Professor-Huber-Platz" in the south towards the English Garden. Both with a so-called Roman well.
It is worth visiting the building from the inside!
