The mural depicting cartoonish vampires on Laugavegur in Reykjavik is a work by the artist known as Dface. This mural was created as a collaboration between Agent Fresco and DFACE as part of the Iceland Airwaves Wall Poetry Initiative. The couple was inspired by a famous medieval Icelandic saga called Laxdœla saga. The monster in the mural is not a vampire at all; It's a type of Icelandic undead creature called a Draugur that sucks the will out of its victims.
