Laugavegur 23 in Reykjavik, is a striking building known for its impressive mural. The building is home to the Mjúk Iceland store. The mural, by Hong Kong-based Belgian street artist Cara To (also known as Caratoes), was created as part of the Wall Poetry Project in 2015.
The mural, titled 'Ode to Mother', is inspired by the song 'Óður til Móður' ('Ode to Mother') by local band Ylja. The artwork immerses the entire building in a hallucinatory haze of colors and shapes.
