One of my favorite hiking trails in the Harz Mountains! Hopping from stone to stone, you cross the red Ecker stream here. This can become a slippery affair when it is wet or ice. Sensible footwear is therefore recommended here. When the weather is good, you can take a break here and listen to the splashing of the corner.

What a transition, currently closed due to fallen spruces, so (no) getting through.
The Pioneer Trail is one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Harz Mountains

A great transition. If the sun is just right, the rocks also like to provide a sunny break.

Very nice path, in between you go on wooden planks through the blueberries, always along the water. One of the highlights around the reservoir.

Here you can enjoy nature and tranquility away from the large paths and crowds. Do not let the fallen / felled trees stop you on the border path, paths always lead here.
