Here's something to marvel: One of the few remaining rain bogs may thrive undisturbed here. Unique flora and fauna, easy to explore on a wooden walkway.

The peat house Hochmoor is also called "Radau Born Moor", because here lies the headwaters of the Radau, which flows north towards Bad Harzburg.

An interesting photo subject - the dark water paired with a bright blue sky!

To linger load several seats on the wooden path that leads across the moor, to give a great view of the Brocken with the moor in front.

The Goetheweg up to the Brocken is probably the most frequent route to Brocken, but I am in good weather and holidays too full.

There are several rounds you can go hiking. From 2km over 4km to Brocken.
As a starting point Torfhaus is recommended. There are parking lots, restaurants and toilets.
The paths are only partially suitable for strollers.

Even if the road is good, sturdy shoes are always worthwhile.
