The frogs then step into the water, where the females leave the fertilized eggs behind so that they can develop into tadpoles over the summer. The frogmen are sometimes so brutal that they crush the females during the act of love, so that they suffocate. In the Komoot and Open Street Map maps this small body of water is called "Toad Pond", which drains over the Sandbek to the Elbe. An information board indicates the amphibians that live here. During our visit, however, we did not meet toads but a Canada goose with her seven goats - super cute.
