The former school building in Norråker was designed by the renowned British-Swedish architect Ralph Erskine (1914–2005). He was one of the most influential figures in Swedish architecture for much of the 20th century. The school closed in 2004, and the building stood empty for twenty years. In February 2024, the Övre Tåsjödalens Framtidsförening association purchased the large brick building in the heart of the village for 750,000 kronor. The plan is to create a new meeting place for clubs and businesses there.
