The Kehrwiedersteg is a pedestrian bridge that connects the old town area with the modern HafenCity district. It is considered an ideal viewpoint, especially by photographers – here, brick warehouses and modern high-rises frame impressive pictures. The bridge is easily accessible and offers a central starting point for many routes through the Speicherstadt.
The bridge was built towards the end of the 19th century and later modernized. It consists of a riveted steel structure with a wooden plank walkway and a simple railing.
