The building at the intersection of Bracka Street and Aleje Jerozolimskie was built in the 1950s as the headquarters of the Orbis Travel Agency, one of the most important tourist institutions in post-war Poland. A neon Orbis globe, a neon sign in the shape of a globe, was placed on its roof, serving as an advertisement and a symbol of openness to the world. The globe became one of the most recognizable elements of Warsaw's post-war landscape. Due to its poor condition, the original was dismantled, and a faithful replica was installed in its place, which was revived in 2025.
