    Very beautiful natural stream landscape.
Between Wildenrath and Schaufenberg lies the 153 hectare Schaagbachtal as the southern part of the nature reserve. What is characteristic of the area is that the sources of five streams are located here, which have allowed the Schaagbachtal to develop into a species-rich wetland. The stream meanders through moist valleys whose edges can rise up to 20 m high.
One of the springs is near Haus Wildenrath, south of Wildenrath. Formerly a knight's castle, a Franconian farm was later built here, which became Germany's first environmental education center in the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park at the end of the 1960s.
The Schaagbach measures 10.7km, has its main source at Haus Wildenrath and flows into the Rur in Vlodrop in the Netherlands.

A wonderful place for a rest, directly at the bridge there is a large tree trunk as a seat. A dream of fresh green in early summer!
