I was initially surprised to see them all doing "Hans gugg in die Luft" 😉.

The famous Glockenspiel in the New Town Hall on Munich's Marienplatz is one of the largest in Germany, with 43 bells and 32 figures. It plays scenes from the wedding of Wilhelm V and the Schäffler dance daily at 11:00 and 12:00 (and also at 17:00 from March to October). The Night Watchman's Glockenspiel plays at 21:00.

The Glockenspiel is a mechanical clockwork with figures that performs a show daily at 11 a.m., and additionally at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. during the summer months (lasting approximately 12 to 15 minutes). It consists of 43 bells and 32 life-size figures depicting scenes from Munich's history.

At 11:00 and 12:00, and also at 5:00 PM between March and October, the chimes in the Rathaus (City Hall) play. They depict events from Munich's history: the marriage of Duke Wilhelm V to Renata of Lorraine and the knightly tournament in honor of the wedding (won, of course, by the Bavarian knight), and the Schläfflertanz (Slavery Dance), which celebrated the end of the plague epidemic.
