The Sahrbach rises as Winkelbach (15.3 km - 13.2 km) in the Flamersheim Forest. The source is north of Scheuren in the Euskirchen area at an altitude of about 384 m above sea level. NHN. From here the stream flows to the east, after a short run it crosses under the state road 113 and leaves Euskirchen there. It then flows south between the Scheuren and Maulbach districts of Bad Münstereifel. As the Houverather Bach (13.2 km - 10.0 km), it flows through the Houverather Bach nature reserve and tributaries and passes through the district of Houverath. From here it flows as the Sahrbach through Kirchsahr and the districts of Binzenbach and Burgsahr. It continues to flow in an easterly direction and flows into the Ahr in Kreuzberg. Source: Wikipedia

The Sahrbachtal is very scenic. There are several well-signposted hiking trails in the area.
