The White Cross is a former station cross on Kirchberg Reimerzhoven, a district of the municipality Altenahr. It is about four meters high and thus visible from afar.
The exact genesis of the cross is unclear - but there are some myths and legends.
From the location of the cross you have a great view of the Ahr valley.

Coming from Mayschoss you leave the forest at the marked spot and the view opens up over the vineyards, Altenahr and the Ahr valley. The castle Are towers over Altenahr.
The actual Altenahrer Eck is still a few hundred meters towards Altenahr away. There is also a corresponding marker stone and a rest area ...

The Altenahrer Eck was awarded for its unique panorama at 250 m above sea level on the red wine trail in the middle of the vineyard "Altenahr Eck" in 2012. The two-meter-high stele, by the Mainz artist Ulrich Schreiber, is a sculpture in the form of a stylized grape. The guest can let his gaze wander from here through a breathtaking panorama in the "Altenahr mountains" to Laach. To the right hand you look up to the castle Kreuzberg, vorbai at the castle Are and the Teufelsloch. Benches and tables invite the visitor to linger.

The Altenahrer Eck is one of the most beautiful vantage points in the Ahr valley. 2 benches invite you to enjoy the view.
In late autumn, a small stand is set up at this point, so that you can taste the Ahrwein or grape juice right on the spot.
Above the way there is also a rest area.
