Memorial stone on Kronprinzenrast in the Aachener Wald, reminiscent of the visit of the Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm, who stayed here in 1883 passing through.

A striking and now overgrown hill near the Karlshöher high way and directly at the formerly used by the Belgian military small telecommunications tower is named Kronprinzenrast. Here stayed on Saturday, July 3, 1883, the then Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm and later 99-day Emperor Frederick III. on the way to Monschau and enjoyed the formerly unobstructed view of the city of Aachen in the valley basin. This event gave the hill its name and two memorial stones provide the hiker with the necessary information.
