The ridge trail to the Neuenalpspitz is a really cool, difficult trail, there are some exposed spots (difficulty T3 + / T4) and it is advisable to do this on dry soil conditions. I personally imagined it to be more demanding or exposed. In dry conditions, this ridge trail is just a lot of fun, the hands are used a little and it is just a really cool, challenging trail with the best view over Toggenburg and the Alpstein.
