The Park Pergola. On March 23, 2013, nearly 200 Italian poplars were planted by some 200 individuals and businesses along the pergola in the Binnenhof. The pergola forms the green envelope of the Binnenhof; it is truly beautiful: the straight uprights provide structure, with a honeycomb-like latticework at the top, along which ivy and leaves grow. In many places, the leaves have already turned a beautiful red, a truly autumnal beauty. Along the sides are signs with the names of sponsors and personal messages, a tangible reminder of those who helped make all this possible.
