Ribe's small harbor is a reminder of the time when the town was an important trading center on the North Sea. Even in the Middle Ages, ships from distant lands docked here, laden with goods and stories. Today, the harbor is a quiet, atmospheric place where history and nature meet. Particularly worth seeing is the old harbor crane from the 18th century – a rare technical monument that recalls the heyday of trade. Along the Ribe Å River, paths and benches invite you to linger while seagulls glide over the water and the historic cityscape is reflected in the river.
