St. Catherine's Priory was a significant early Dominican monastery located in Ribe, Denmark from 1228 to 1536. The buildings still stand, although there is no monastic community there. The building known as Ribe Monastery is Denmark's most complete surviving monastic building complex.The Dominican monastery in Ribe, dedicated to Saint Catherine of Siena, was founded in 1228 by Dominican friars on the property of the Bishop of Ribe Tuve, only the second such foundation in Denmark. The church, dedicated to Saint Catherine, was built in the Romanesque style with a simple nave and chancel made of brick.
