The Molenfeuer Überseehafen Süd (called "Mäuseturm") is a small lighthouse in the harbor area of the city of Bremen. It stands on the final mole of the Überseestadt am Wendebecken the exit of the wood and factories port, the grain and the crane port. Originally it served together with the beacon on Shipyard Iceland to fire the entrance to the overseas port. However, he lost this function after its funding in the 1990s.Architecturally, the "Mice Tower" is a twelve-meter high tower with two galleries, a bay window, a green painted lantern house and a copper roof. Erected in 1906 from uniformly carved gray-brown Portasandstein blocks, the tower is still in operation today and carries a green light over nine nautical miles. 2007 was a clearing of the path along with a free cutting, so that the way was better accessible. Nevertheless, it is still not a classic trail. In 2000 the Molenhaus was listed as an individual monument with the mole section as an ensemble under monument protection (Thanks: Wikipedia)
