The Lankenauer Höft was created in the course of the new construction of the Neustädter Hafen. In 1969 the office wing including the radar tower was built and served the port authority as a social room, administration, changing room and office space. In 1979 the restaurant "Lankenauer Höft" was established. This operation ended in December 2016. After that there was a lot of argument, in the meantime the interim headquarters managed the property. Until finally an investor took over who had promised to build a new restaurant there.
