"[This almond tree] takes its name from the Jesuitengarten vineyard there, where Jesuit monasteries owned land from the 18th century onwards. [...]
The tree was just 1 meter tall when Peter Spindler from the Lindenhof winery in Forst planted it in 1975. After half a century, the Jesuit almond tree is about ten times as tall, and its trunk boasts a proud circumference of over two meters."

The Forst tree stands "as a living testament to traditional Palatinate almonds. These varieties bloom more or less white and show at most a faint pink. [...]
