At 2,277 ft (694 m) Pen-y-ghent is the lowest of the Yorkshire three peaks but still an enjoyable running challenge in its own right. It’s scrambly from the south, which is a lot of fun. It's on the Pennine Way, so features in the classic races like the Spine Race
On reaching the summit, if you're lucky enough to visit on a clear day you'll be treated to great views out across the Yorkshire Dales from the trig point.
