The Soviet Memorial in the Schönholzer Heide in Pankow, Berlin was built between May 1947 and November 1949 and covers an area of 30,000 m². The memorial contains the largest Soviet cemetery in Berlin, which is also the largest Russian cemetery in Europe outside of Russia.

Flanked by two T-34 tanks, a bronze statue of a Red Army soldier carrying a rifle on his shoulder stands in the center of the square. On the pillars behind it,
inscriptions with the names of fallen Soviet soldiers are inscribed.
The rear part of the memorial contains the graves of around 2,500 soldiers.
