The church was built at the beginning of the 12th century and was formerly probably part of the Pfarrsprengel Lühnde. The clock on the 36 m high spire was attached in 1888. The bells are from 1813 and 1965. The gallery and the simple altar wall with pulpit come from the end of the 19th, the altar lights from the 16th century. The organ prospectus was built in 1840 and extensively renovated in 1970. In 1999, after the new roof of the tower on the top of the Petrushahn from the Revelation of John was set.
