Historically the main trade route between Altona and Viborg/Aalborg. Today varied walking and cycling trails.

The Ochsenweg (in Denmark Haervejen) is a wonderful, historically very interesting long-distance cycle path. The entire route to Viborg can also be hiked on foot and the path is part of the Way of St. James. It's really worth driving up to Viborg.

The Geest rivers Bennebek and Sorge were kept away and diverted in the 17th century by a one-sided canal from the bottom of Lake Megger and other lakes and marshes. East of the former Meggersee, now Meggerkoog, remained the "Poggenpohl", the Tetenhusener moor. From the area of the glacial meltwater channel of concern, dunes were blown up by sands on which forests and heaths developed in the post-glacial succession. The hike leads over the probably thousands of years old army and ox path into the Tetenhusener enclosure, into the delightful valley of concern and into the more than 200 ha large nature reserve Tetenhusener Moor between Bennebek and Sorge.wanderbares-schleswig-holstein.de/wandern/tourentipps-kompendium/2017-02
