Very beautiful old town!
The city center with the half-timbered houses and the medieval city wall with its gates are really worth seeing.

In the late Middle Ages, Niederhutstraße was the street of the tanners who used the water of the mill pond, which flowed openly through Niederhutstraße. The shoemakers who got their leather from the tanners from Niederhutstraße used to live along the Platzerstraße, which runs south of Niederhutstraße. In the 19th century, Niederhutstrasse was also called Judengasse. In 1290 the street was called "Judengasse".
