The Komturhaus, a stately stone building, is - like the neighboring chapel - from the 16th century. The baroque portal flanked by two columns bears the year 1684 and the initials J.C.P. The cantilevered high pitched roof has two rows of skylights.
The commandery was surrounded by water, the house pond, which represented an effective protection against enemy attacks. A bridge led from the commandery to the chapel and another to the farm buildings. Today the Commandery is privately owned.
