Where the Russian Tsar enjoyed the summer holiday: The castle is located on the western Odenwaldrand sublime and belongs to the community Seeheim-Jugenheim.
The special location has inspired people since the Middle Ages. The highlight of his significant charisma was in the 19th century. The castle has a special past for the related Russian, English and Hessian dynasties.
The most prominent descendants of these dynasties today are Philip, Prince Consort of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain and Juan Carlos I, King of Spain.
