Between Wald-Michelbach and Affolterbach, a barrier-free hiking / cycling path has been running along the idyllic Ulfenbachtal since the summer of 2012.
The route runs on the railway embankment of the former Überwaldbahn.
Due to the flat course, which increases gently only a few passages, the way is ideal for families with children and for pleasure cycling.
Imaginative sculptures and works of art along the artistic path along this route also accompany the three-kilometer-long path to Affolterbach. Loungers and dwellings invite you to rest along the way.
At the starting point in Unter-Wald-Michelbach there are parking lots.

Hike from Plansee to Heiterwanger See
The hike starts at the Plansee at Hotel Forelle. We first go to the Musteralp above the Plansee campsite. The Musteralpe is an absolutely worthwhile excursion destination for the whole family. This summer, the Alpe is again traditionally managed with about 40 dairy cows, 20 young cattle, goats and chickens. In the show dairy, the milk is processed daily from late May to mid-September to cheese and butter. During this period every Thursday at 10:00 o'clock a guided tour of the cheese dairy will be held: Through a large glass wall interesting insights into the craft of cheese making are granted. Now we follow the Musteraslp Plansee hiking trail along the shore. After dreamlike panorama we reach the canal and the Heiterwangersee. Now the path leads along Lake Heiterwanger to the landing place Fischer am See.
An unforgettable experience is the journey back to the deck of a passenger ship. The MS Margarethe or the new passenger ship, the MS Wilhelm, regularly drive tours over the 1000 feet above sea level Heiterwanger See and the Plansee. At 4 stops they take walkers and hikers. So walks can be individually designed and parts can be covered on foot or by ship.
      Sufficient bathing possibilities are given.
