Simply translating to 'high ridge', the pass of Drumochter separates the Southern and Northern Highlands, and the busy A9 road winds through this point too. Thankfully there's a separate cycle lane.

Good mix of surfaces and amazing views over the pass. BUT, if descending the north side towards Dalwhinne be away of inopportune bollards in the middle of the trail, sometimes on otherwise fast parts of the descent
