The cathedral is very hidden in the center, surrounded by temples of consumption and restaurants. Unfortunately I couldn't get in, it doesn't open until 10 a.m.
It worked on my second visit. Inside, the cathedral is surprisingly simple: white walls, golden decorations. Beautiful altar, beautiful organ and some beautiful, hidden details.

The Gothenburg Cathedral, a building from the 19th century, is located directly on the pedestrian zone. The first cathedral church (Domkyrkan) was consecrated in 1633 and dedicated to King Gustav II Adolf. He is considered the founder of the city and had fallen a year earlier in a battle during the Thirty Years' War. In 1721 the first church was destroyed in a fire and replaced by a subsequent building. but this too fell in the flames of a city fire in 1802. Today's cathedral of Gothenburg Cathedral was inaugurated on May 21, 1815 after eleven years of construction.
