This spring is named in honor of the second queen of the Belgians, Marie-Henriette of Habsburg-Lorraine. The pavilion was built in 1922 and inaugurated in 1933 by Queen Elisabeth.
The inscription on this pavilion reads: “On June 15, 1933, H.M. Queen Elisabeth inaugurated the pavilion of this spring, to which H.M. Queen Marie-Henriette has deigned to give her name.”

This spring is the origin of the famous still mineral water from Spa "Spa Reine". Before resurfacing after a few years, it crossed the peaty subsoil of the Fagne de Malchamps and the Cambrian rocks of the Ardennes subsoil.
Low in mineral salts (sodium, magnesium, and potassium), it is recognized for its properties against hypertension, arthritis, and toxins.
