Hiking
The stream has good biological and ecological quality. A study commissioned by the Walloon Region in 2014 noted a good presence of trout, bullheads and small lampreys, which are species of great ecological value, and described the biological quality of the Roannay as good to very good (for both fish and diatoms, macrophytes and macroinvertebrates). However, the banks of the stream have numerous colonies of Japanese knotweed and Himalayan balsam.
