Beautiful hiking trails and trails lead to the now well documented with aerial photographs Burgwallanlage. The little ones will enjoy fun between the moats and around Burgwall. Nice with the MTB.

The Burgstall Hainburg, also called Burgstall Rüsselbach, is an abandoned medieval hilltop castle.

The 140 by 90 meter castle complex, secured by a mighty wall-moat system, had a core bailey and a bailey with a southern and northern extension.

A high-resolution 3D terrain scan and traces of the terrain indicate a fortification from the 11th to 12th centuries, which was expanded in the 13th century. The Veste was probably the seat of several families of lords of the castle. In 1504 the complex was already referred to as "purkstal" near Unterrüsselbach and in 1567 as Burgstall Rüsselbach. There is an indication that the castle was owned by the Imperial Ministers of Rüsselbach, who died out in the 12th century.
