In Kienbaum there had been a church for centuries, but this had to be rebuilt again and again by wars or fires. The present village church was inaugurated in 1909 and renovated in 2009. It belongs to the Protestant parish Oderland-Spree.

Today's church made of Rüdersdorfer limestone was consecrated in 1908. It is not known when it was built.
Inside you can see a special feature: the artistic allegories on the parapet, which represent the old main occupations of the place, crab, fishing and beekeeping. This is evidence that Kienbaum was an important place for forest beekeeping as well as fishing for fish and crabs in the Middle Ages. The Löcknitz crab was coveted by gourmets far and wide. Not only Berlin became a buyer.
The crabs also found their way beyond the national borders, as far as Paris. In addition, the bee convention took place here in August every year in the Middle Ages, a meeting of the Beutner and Zeidler (beekeepers) from the Barnimer and Lebuser Lands. Extensive reconstruction work has taken place in recent years, including a. at the organ donated by Empress Auguste Victoria.
