Directly on the dike are four huge concrete blocks that seem like bunkers at first sight. But these are the caissons, which were used to repair the dike after the 1953 spring tide. Since 2001, the Watersnood Museum is located in the concrete buildings, where you can learn all about the spring tide, dykes and water safety in general.
Opening hours: The museum is open daily from 10am to 5pm.
