Three stories high with a solid base and two plastered half-timbered upper stories, situated on a slight slope, with eaves, a gable roof with a gabled dormer; built in 1618 as a craftsman's house, the "Zum Stiefel" Inn since the early 19th century, renovated in 1985.
The former craftsman's house is of exemplary and documentary value for the settlement of the Lower Town, which began in the late 14th century. For its construction, the last remnant of the Hohenstaufen city wall, with its gate-like "donkey hole," still visible in Rauch's 1611 city view, was demolished. The inn, whose name "Zum Stiefel" refers to the profession of its first owner, a shoemaker, is also exemplary of the inn industry in Wangen, which was primarily located at the entrances and along the main axes of the town.
