Many go "over" here, but over this mountain to the Bad-Kissinger-Hütte: a great tour, especially if you descend the top of the ridge towards the hut!

Significantly less well-known and therefore lonelier than the neighboring Aggenstein, but no less beautiful. The climb is not particularly demanding, but there is a wonderful panorama at the top.

Originally, the name "Roßberg" was used on the Pfrontener and Gräner side for the whole mountain and is documented for the year 1561 for the first time in a Tannheimer document. On Vilser side one used "Roßberg Saul". However, the designation "Brentjoch" was used for an icing zone in the southern flank. This name gradually became the official name for the main summit. The name could come from slash and burn in the pine forest.
