View of Dettingen from Dettinger Felsen

Very nice vantage point in wild terrain. A bit further up is the barbecue hut with plenty of space and a no less beautiful view over Dettingen and the hills and valleys of the area

A nice place. The Dettinger Felsen offers a great view of Dettingen.

From the bottom of the valley you can see the hut protruding from the forest above the Dettinger Fels. The slope looks steep and the climb is corresponding. From Dettingen you have the choice of following the short but very steep path or choosing the switchbacks north of it. Both options meet at the entrance to the short alpine path up into the primeval rock landscape. Already here at the cross you get a view over Dettingen, further up at the hut the ascent is over and a place for a break, a snack or a barbecue is found.
