The windmill in the open-air museum in Bad Zwischenahn is a two-story Dutch gallery. It dates back to 1811 and was initially built in neighboring Westerstede.
After repeated changes of ownership, their last location was in Hüllstede near Westerstede. There it was in danger of falling into disrepair after it was decommissioned in 1958 and was moved to the open-air museum in Bad Zwischenahn in 1960 to save it.
